Hello there,
According to the AQSIQ (General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of ChinaAnnouncement No. 20, the United States is included on the list of countries where mosquitoes carrying the ZIKA virus have been identified.

In order to prevent the spread of the virus, cargo from all involved countries and regions to China Ports will require an anti-mosquito treatment. Without documented proof of treatment the shipment will be subject to fumigation treatment at the Chinese Port of Discharge by local inspectors. China Customs inspection and quarantine authorities will strictly follow the quarantine regulations for shipments from these countries and regions. Definitions of the required anti-mosquito treatment, and the documentary proof required, have not been issued by Chinese authorities, which indicates all treatment will be performed in China until further notice.

This notice took effect as of August 3, 2016, and is valid for 12 months.

U.S. exporters should be aware of the possibility for delays and treatment costs when shipping to Chinese ports.
